Evaldas Gulbinas is a Lithuanian tattoo and fine artist living in London, United Kingdom. Known for his famous tattoo works and fine art pieces, Evaldas Gulbinas reflects the unpredictable world, issues of social change, freedom, disturbance, war, and distress. From his deep Lithuanian roots to worldwide recognition of his work, his art career has grown into a beautiful example of visionary creativity, which provokes the very definition of what art means.

Gulbinas was born and raised in Kėdainiai, Lithuania. From his very early years, he has had a huge passion for art that led him to different art activities until he entered Kėdainiai Art School, where he studied sculpture, drawing, installation, and painting. Further schooling in M.K. Čiurlionis National Art School was enriched with theory and skills of mixed media, life drawing, and painting. This intensity into the visual arts was a foregone conclusion to the future.

Gulbinas moved to London for 2009. The world of tattooing had him mesmerized. What was a mere pastime earlier soon turned into a career, at first via experiences as assistants and then as a professional tattoo artist. In combination with avant-garde, the Abstract Pop−Art Surrealism could inscribe his unique style at no time. He uses traditional and dot work style tattoos and manages to implement abstract and cubism, colored, blackwork, and oriental to fine line. And all of them, –as a reflection of his diligence and artistic profundity.

Life-long yearning for perfection enticed Gulbinas to get advanced at the United Kingdom studies. In 2014 he entered West Thames College to continue with a foundation in art and design. Lastly, in 2019, he completed his Bachelor's in Fine Art at the University of Westminster. He moved further with his studies by doing a Master's in Fine Arts at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, which he completed in 2022. This has, of course, provided him with not just technical skills but vast profundity in the theory of art as well, which allows him to practice his art with great subtlety.

In Gulbinas's understanding, fine art means not only tattooing but also drawing, painting, sculpture, installations, and digital art. Themes in his work are both intricate and complex—for example, fluid identity and perception. His philosophy of art was based on the permanent search for exploration and experiment, easily flowing in the liquid area between media. The intricate sculptures he did on metal sheets, half-engraving half-painting, are some of his best works, denoting a sophisticated and bold style.

Gulbinas's works have been presented to many galleries in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Canada. The most significant exhibitions include "Sisyphean" in Fitzrovia Art Gallery, London; "Perception" in Koppel 540 Art Gallery, London; and "Be Rosso Cinabro" in Rossocinabro Art Gallery, Rome. His work was also presented in important publications such as AATONAU Magazine, NYK Daily, and London Daily Post.

A breakthrough moment in the artistry of Gulbinas came in 2024 while he was involved in the peculiar environment of Lukiskes Prison. This happening of combining artistry and music with cultural exchange showcased the irrepressible Gulbinas articulating this living performing arts that does not stop at boundaries. This daring affair is a proof of his persistent search for new territories in art.

Beyond his personal artistic undertakings, Gulbinas is committed to promoting a live and open artistic environment. He accepts invitations to workshops, collaborative projects, and mentorship programs in order to help and encourage young artists. His work is a mirror for the human condition's convolution and paradox, and altogether unforgivingly honest, and he dares his viewers to be larger than what they think and to step out into the unknown.

The more Evaldas Gulbinas crossed art boundaries, the more he broke expectations and pushed humanity toward a journey of finding itself—his powerful art, which defies any kind of confinement—used as a catalyst for personal deep change and self-reflection. Dare to experiment and be fearless in trying new things as Gulbinas challenges conventions and widens the frontiers of creative expression. His influence in modern artistic society is evident: his work has spread far beyond the borders of Lithuania, inspiring changes and allowing for an understanding of the human experience.
